THINGS TO DO WHILE IN THE SAUBLE AREA

1. Ice cream at the Trading Post Store (huge portions of ice cream, at a great price. overlooking the beach). The Trading Post is a five-minute drive away, off Second Avenue.

2. Any meal (or a beer) at the Red Road Grill, again, overlooking Sauble Beach. The grill is located at Sauble itself. Food is amazing, worth every penny. http://www.redroadcafe.com/

3. A walk at Spirit Rock Conservation area:

It's about a half hour away, outside of Wiarton. Great place for a nice walk among ruins and along Colpoy's Bay.

4. Fish and Chips at Red Fish, Blue Fish in Wiarton. Small restaurant, great fish and chips.

5. A visit to Grieg's Caves:

10. Wiarton, home of Wiarton Willie, but a really small, charming town that’s less snobby than Southampton: http://visitwiarton.ca/ About a half hour away from the cottage.

11. Southampton, also very charming, with a great board walk on the beach:

12. Farmers’ Markets. Tons around. There is a list, posted on the fridge, at the cottage.
